The Hellenic Initiative (THI) Australia has moved on to fund the opening of the paediatric clinic of the Ioannina hospital after that of Kastoria, in an effort to help children all around the wider Epirus area, but also the Western Macedonia, Thessaly, Western Greece areas and even the Ionian islands receive the medical attention that they need.
The funding reached around $48,000 in order to cover all the needs of the two clinics and is estimated to provide assistance to over 9,000 children.
THI is an organisation that has helped upgrade over 45 paediatric wards in 39 hospitals and health care facilities all over Greece in the past eight years.
