A few days before 2018 departs, comes a positive announcement from the development and economy ministry’s General Commercial Registry.

According to recent data, 7.04 per cent more businesses – of all types and sizes – were opened in 2018, compared to 2017.

With the new business records running until 21 December 2018, the listings show openings surpassed closings in 2018.

For the first year since the financial crisis hit Greece, the country has seen steady and healthy growth in the business industry;  more impressively, terminated businesses were reduced by 32.67 per cent in the current year, compared to 2017.
