Following Stefanos Tsitsipas’ shock loss in straight sets by Great Britain’s Cameron Norrie, the Greek team’s second half Maria Sakkari managed to get her country back on the board, taking down Katie Boulter in three sets.

Twenty-three-year-old Sakkari, showed her strength early on, beating Boulter within 25 minutes into the first set.

Boulter, 22, took over the second and third sets, pushing Sakkari to rise up to the challenge.

It was a tough match, however, the Greek tennis player currently sitting at the world’s No.41 managed a 6-0 4-6 6-2 victory over No.97.
