Award-winning Austrailan writer Hannah Kent will be in Athens and Thessaloniki to visit her readers on Tuesday, February 19, and Wednesday, February 20.

The author has millions of fans around the world and her visit to Public bookshop at Syntagma Square at 9pm on Tuesday and the bookstore at Thessaloniki at 8pm on Wednesday

Born in Adelaide in 1985, Kent’s first novel was Burial Rites (2013). It was translated into 30 languages and became an international bestseller. It won numerous literature awards and is currently being adapted for film by Sony TriStar.

Her second novel, The Good Life, was published in 2016 (ANZ) and 2017 (UK and North America) and has been translated into 10 languages. It will be adapted into film by Aquarius Productions.

Regarding her visit to Greece, Kent wrote: “I’m very excited to announce that I will be coming to Greece for two events this month! Many thanks to Public Bookstore, my Greek Publisher Ikaros, and to the City of Athens for their kind invitation to be part of the UNESCO World Book Capital celebrations. See you there!”
