Olympiakos team refuses to play in Sunday’s Greek basketball league match against Rick Pitino’s Panathinaikos after a dispute over refereeing.

The red-and-whites made this club announcement just a month after Olympiakos walked out of a Greek final semifinal against Panathinaikos. At the time, Olympiakos alleged biased officiating and had forfeited the game to their long-time green rivals.

Now the team has stated that it won’t show up for Sunday’s match because the referees chosen are Greek instead of the foreign ones that the team had requested.

Greek league rules state that a team that refuses to play at a scheduled game is docked six points.
