This popular cultural initiative continues with the screening of another jewel of the Golden Era of Greek Cinematography, The Fortune Teller. Made in 1956, it has a simple story beautifully told by a number of excellent actors and with the collaboration of the best of that era screen writer (George Asimakopoulos), director (Alekos Sakellarios), photographer (Nikos Dimopoulos) and composer (Manos Hatzidakis).
The local “fortune” teller moves away, the washerwoman, decides to fill-in her position. With the assistant of the café owner she proves to be the best ever fortune teller. The film runs for 88 minutes and has English subtitles.
