The 2019 season begins this Saturday for the Hawthorn Spartans, who will start off against Marcellin at the Lyons Oval in Bulleen at 2.00 pm.
This season will see them facing a bigger challenge, as they participate in the Thirds, Division Two alongside stronger opponents such as Swinburne University, Old Geelong Grammar, Old Ivanhoe Grammar, Essendon Grammar and old rivals Old Xaverians.
Yet spirits are high at the Spartans side, after a good pre-season training camp and the arrival of several new players whose help will prove invaluable in this upcoming season.
The club’s hope is for the players to be able to assert their dominance from early on, sending a message to all other teams.
For yet another season, Neos Kosmos will be supporting the Spartans in their journey to win back-to-back trophies.
