James Dalamangas, 48, is wanted in relation to the stabbing murder of 32-year-old Sydney man George Giannopoulos. The warrant for his arrest was issued on 26 April 1999 following the stabbing of Mr Giannopoulos at a Belmore nightclub in Sydney’s south west.

Police believe that Mr Dalamangas may have fled to Greece in 1999 and have information that he may be using the name ‘John’ or ‘Jim’. The NSW Police force and Australian Federal Police worked with Greek authorities to progress the investigation, but have been unable to locate Mr Dalamangas despite extensive inquiries.

A reward worth $200,000 is currently out for information leading to his arrest. The reward is available internationally.

Mr Dalamangas is described as having Mediterranean/Middle Easter appearance and is between 180-185cm tall and of medium build.
