The Australian Hellenic Choir on Tuesday announced it is officially up and running.

Founded by James Tsolakis, the Sydney-based choral group is multicultural and multilingual. It has been formed with the ambition to bring the world’s best music to Australian audiences.

“Our vision is to support performers and events and to perform in our own right,” said Mr Tsolakis, who is President of the organisation.

“With several performances already booked into the next 12 months, we are looking forward to presenting our unique world sound.”

Despina Lucas, who has over 30 years of musical experience has been appointed Vice-President and Themos Mexis as Music and Artistic Director.

The Choir is now seeking other talented individuals with music knowledge to audition for a spot in the choral group, including tenors, sopranos, basses and altos.
