Hundreds of swingers have arrived on Crete for the 5th annual 6-day swingers’ event taking place on the island.
The swingers holiday will be attended by 177 couples who will descend to a 5-star luxury hotel in Stalida, a village between the coastal mecca of Malia and Hersonissos on the north coast of Crete.
The inaugural event that took place five years ago, drew a lot of controversy as locals were worried about the type of tourism they were drawing as swingers indulged in their sexual fantasies.
The erotic event, however, is very discreet and the orgies and sexual feasting take place far from prying eyes.
Locals have benefited from the boost in the local economy with restaurants, bars, lingerie shops and even hair salons profiting from the affluent visitors that hail from Canada, the United States, Latin America, interspersed with a few local couples.
