Greek American businessman Fotis Dulos, the estranged husband of missing Connecticut mother of five Jennifer Dulos, is in custody for the disappearance of his wife, Jennifer Dulos.
On Thursday, authorities refocused their investigation on properties connected to Mr Dulos that are linked to the Fore Group, a custom home building company he owns.
He remains at the Bridgebort Correctional Centre as he is unable to post the $500,000 bond.
Michelle Troconis, his partner, was released on bail, and also faces charges of tampering with evidence that hindered prosecution in connection with Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance.
Neighbours say that police conducted an investigation at the $4.8-million home where the couple lived at 61 Sturbridge Hill Road in New Canaan on Wednesday. One neighbour said that metal could be heard banging in the property in the early morning hours of 25 May when Jennifer Dulos was reported missing.
It is believed that police also focused their search on a metal dumpster located in front of the home. According to arrest warrants Mr Dulos and Ms Troconis were spotted on video dumping garbage bags in more than 30 dumpsters along Albany Avenue in Harford. Bloody clothing and other items were found in the bags with the blood type matching that of Ms Dulos, according to the warrants.
The Dulos children range from 8 to 13 years in age and are currently staying with their maternal grandmother Gloria Faber, 85, in New York City. She is also seeking custody.

The Dulos marriage had broken down and, in the divorce papers, Ms Dulos had accused her husband of infidelity, cruelty and threatening to kidnap their children and take them to Greece.
The estranged husband had denied the allegations.
