English comedian/screenwriter Rowan Atkinson is visiting the island of Crete for his summer holidays.
Local site ekriti.gr reports that the actor, famous for portraying Mr Bean, checked into a hotel at Elounda bay, a northern coast of the island of Crete in the region of Agios Nikolaos. The area is known for its high-quality resorts, beautiful beaches and archaeological sites.

Mr Atkinson enjoys visiting the Aegean islands and has visited Greece before with trips to Ithaca and Kefalonia. He also owns property on the island of Andros.
Though he is keeping a low profile, the presence of Mr Bean on the island has not gone unnoticed.
