Wednesday’s national round (Rd) of 32 FFA Cup draw has pitted two of the four remaining Greek clubs against each other. Perth’s Floreat Athena will travel across the Nullaboor to take on first timers Adelaide Olympic FC.
The other two Greek clubs, Brisbane NPL club Olympic FC and Darwin Olympic have been drawn to host interstate NPL opposition in Perth’s Bayswater City and NSW’s Edgeworth Eagles respectively.

Darwin Olympic was the final club to book a place in the Rd of 32 this year, winning Tuesday night’s Top End decider against University Azzuri FC 5-4 on penalties after both teams were locked at 2-2 at the end of extra time.

For Adelaide Olympic, their home tie against Floreat Athena marks its first ever appearance at the national stage of the FFA Cup. Their Perth opponent Floreat will be making its second appearance on the national stage of the FFA Cup having qualified just once before in 2016 when they hosted A-League Club Melbourne City. This year marks the first time they’ll travel interstate as part of the national competition.

For Olympic FC, which hosts Perth’s Bayswater City, it will be the third occasion it has progressed through to the national stage of the competition. In 2014 Olympic FC made it through to the Rd of 16 before losing to A-League club Central Coast Mariners, whilst in 2018 it lost to local rival Lions FC in the Rd of 32.
