Dolce & Gabbana shows are always the talk of the fashion world for weeks after season reveal but their Alta Sartoria show was literally a poem.

In a divine setting at the courtyard of the town hall of Sciacca in Sicily, the high-end fashion house presented an ode to Greece through the eons.

Their different menswear lines drew inspiration from Zeus, Apollo and Poseidon, to Greek tragedy and philosophy all the way to the Byzantium spanning 2,000 years.

“The Alta Moda show at the temple in Agrigento was about the idea of Olympus and its goddesses. Tonight it is the turn of the gods,” said Domenico Dolce at a preview of the Alta Sartoria menswear show—the closing act in this summer’s Sicilian trilogy of Alta events.
