Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios will be called to team up in the upcoming Citi Open tournament in Washington DC.

The dynamic between the two players will certainly be interesting to see, as they don’t have the best of relationships, with 19-year-old Greek having stated in the past that Kyrgios should “focus more on his training rather than playing Fortnite”.

Despite Kyrgios’ poor performance at the recent Wimbledon where he was disqualified in the first round, Tsitsipas still holds his position in the Top 10 worldwide rankings.

Meanwhile, the Greek Australian becomes the centre of attention more for his behaviour in and out of the courts, and less for his sporting accomplishments, even though he remains in the Top 50. At the same time, the Australian Open semi-finalist Tsitsipas will also play in the single matches, with this tournament kicking off his hard court season.

As for Kyrgios, he recently played alongside Tommy Paul at the Atlanta Open, yet they didn’t manage to get very far, getting knocked out in the Round of 16 by Artem Sitak and Radu Albot, 6-7, 5-7.
