Adelaide’s Hellenic Cultural Festival Odyssey is celebrating its 14th year with a series of arts and cultural events kicking off on 4 October, 2019. The theme, “Education Through Greek Arts” aims to celebrate Hellenism through art, education, theatre, music and other festivities.

As part of the celebrations, the work of talented local artists will be featured in an art exhibition at the festival’s hub in Adelaide’s Franklin Street. Judges will award works “The Odyssey Art Prize” of $1,000 (first prize), $600 (second prize) and $400 (third prize). The top winning work will become a permanent fixture in the Greek Orthodox Community Gallery of South Australia, whereas non-winning pieces will be available for purchase.

All art forms interpreting the theme “cultural destinations” are welcome. These can be interpreted in any way the artist feels.

Works should be ready for hanging by 27 September with winners announced on 4 October. For more info email: gocsa@gocsa.org.au  or visit www.gocsa.org.au
