During the Laver Cup tennis tournament in Switzerland there were no outbursts from the oftentimes controversial Nick Kyrgios. But Australia’s ‘bad boy’ still managed to shock the crowds, when he revealed to his teammates that he lost the second game of the second set against Roger Federer because he was distracted by a good looking girl from the stands.

Kyrgios was representing Team World in the Laver Cup, and came up against Grand Slam legend Federer.

Things seemed to be going well for the young Aussie after he claimed the opening set 7-6 on a tiebreak, but he started the second set in a pretty wobbly manner.

He held his serve, but was then hurried by Federer with a textbook 40-0.

After he survived a break point in the next game, Kyrgios appeared to lose his form and his concentration as he dropped the game to the Swiss superstar.

When he returned to his chair during the changeover, he confessed to Bjorn Borg and his teammates what happened to him.

“I lost concentration,” he said.

“I saw a real hot chick in the crowd. Like, I’m being genuinely honest, I’d marry her right now. Right now!” said Kyrgios. But tennis fans who have seen the Aussie blow up on numerous occasions didn’t seem impressed.

Federer managed to beat Kyrgios 6-7, 7-5, 10-7.

The Swiss legend faced difficult moments against the Australian ‘bad boy’, but he admitted that he was saved by Rafael Nadal’s tips.

“He saved me today. I think that is the true reason why he is the champion he is today, because he’s not scared of changing a winning tactic, and he’s also a big believer in investing,” Federer declared.

The Aussie has endured an up and down 2019 season on the court with some scintillating performances backed up by severe breakdowns.

Kyrgios claimed stunning victories to win ATP 500 events in Acapulco and Washington, but a potential suspension hangs over his head following the volatile outburst that saw him labelling chair umpire drew Fergus Murphy “the worst f****** ref ever, the worst ref in the game”, drawing worldwide criticism for his attitude on the court.
