Serial killer Peter Dupas – convicted for the 1997 murder of Mersina Halvagis – had his appeal dismissed by Victoria’s Court of Appeal.

He appealed his conviction on the grounds that evidence by some of the witnesses was unreliable. Dupas is serving three life sentences without parole for the murders of Ms Halvagis and two other women.
