Greek Australian Tom Koutsanotnis became the new Minister for Correctional Services, Road Safety, Gambling, Youth and Volunteers in South Australia last Tuesday.

The 36 year old is the first SA MP of Greek descent to elevate to a Cabinet position. Along with Mr Koutsantonis, Michael O’Brien also became the new Minister of Employment, Training and Further Education.

Their election by caucus was unanimous. This was the second reshuffle of the State Cabinet in six months after the resignations Agriculture Minister Rory McEwen and Correctional Services Minister Carmel Zollo.
