Actress Erika Broyer, 77, died on Sunday after being hospitalised over the last few weeks in intensive care at a hospital in Athens, suffering from serious health issues related to cancer.

Broyer was born in 1942 in Athens. Her father was Telis Anthides and her mother was of Austrian descent.

She became famous by participating in many films, including “Dis Diefthyntis” (1964), “Exodos Kindynou” (1980), “Rena is offside” (1972), “A Foolish Love” (1981) and “The Parisian” (1969).

Erika was known for her acts with, Margarita, her sister and they were successful in Athens show business. Broyer was also the first wife of famous Greek actor Kostas Voutsas. They married in 1958, had a daughter together, Sandra, and were on amicable terms at the end of her life.
