The 2020 edition of the Athens Half Marathon is now accepting registrations.

And if last year’s numbers (more than 20,000 participants) are anything to go by, it should be yet another huge success for the city.

The Athens Half Marathon begins in front of Ermou Street at the central square of Syntagma, going through the whole city and involving most central streets of Athens. The event ends at the front of the Parliament building in a track that spans over 5km.

For anyone that is planning on visiting the city during that period, the Marathon provides a perfect opportunity to experience its culture through one of the most ancient sporting events.

The Athens Half Marathon will be held on 22 March this year and is organised by the Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS), in association with the City of Athens.
