Pontiaki Estia Melbourne hosted a special event on Sunday, 16 February at the Holy Monastery of Axion Estin in Northcote to cut a vasilopita for 2020.

President Kostas Tseprailidis was in attendance, along with members of the board, Pontiaki Estia dancers, as well as parents and friends.

Fr Jordan Krikelis led everyone in prayer, and blessed the vasilopita, which was generously offered by Yiannis Parthenon Cakes Coburg. Board member Yiannis Tataridis was the lucky one to find the flouri in his piece of vasilopita, going on to win the cash prize offered by Mr Tseprailidis.

Pontiaki Estia’s Vice President John Pilalidis praised the youth’s contribution to the club’s cultural and community activities, and also thanked the parents for their role.
