A 27-year-old man, who also happens to be a father of two, has been charged with the murder of Greek-Australian Ross Houllis, 28.

Houllis, 28, died three days after he was attacked about 9pm on Friday 14 February at a shopping centre on Bulls Road in Wakeley, near Fairfield in western Sydney.

The victim, sustained grave injuries while trying to sell his AirPod headphones on Facebook.

The post on the social media platform dated 23 January listed “brand new” Apple headphones for sale for $170, saying they “haven’t been used … got them for a gift a while back”.

Houllis arranged to meet Mr Hamdach and another man at the shopping centre car park and the pair, after demanding cash, allegedly dragged him through the car park and bashed him before driving off in a Toyota Hilux Ute.
