In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, many families and elderly members of society have been forced to deal with shortages in crucial household items, such as toilet paper and other groceries, as many supermarkets are struggling to cope with the high need by the customers.

During these trying times, a Greek family from Williamstown showed their more compassionate side, sharing their own belongings with members of their local community who weren’t fortunate enough to shop on time.

More specifically, local school vice principal Nikos Bakatsoulas and his two children Isabella and Joshua, aged seven and five respectively, walked all over their neighbourhood on Sunday night, knocking on people’s doors and asking if they had all the necessary supplies, such as toilet paper, sanitiser, sundries and other crucial items, but also offering their help to anyone who might need it.

Examples such as this show how important it can be to come together at times of crisis such as this and always remember to keep the well-being of others in our minds as well.
