The Andrews Labor Government has launched a hotline to assist businesses dealing with the impacts of the coronavirus.

With an increase of misinformation flying around, the hotline aims to access to give business owners quick and accurate information on how to keep their workplace safe, and advice on how to plan to deal with the current situation and anticipate likely developments.

Additionally businesses will be directed to various support services including those available through Business Victoria, which offers mentoring to help operators develop business continuity and recovery plans.

Andrews says, “This dedicated hotline will help businesses of all sizes get the facts and connect them with support services so they can best weather this storm.”

Minister for Small Business Adem Somyurek stresses the importance of small businesses and the “enormous contribution to the economy and to the communities they serve.”

He says, “We are listening to small businesses and I will be meeting with my small business advisory council and multicultural business council to gain further insights into the challenges at hand.”
