Schools and universities around the world are closing down due to the coronavirus pandemic as governments look at ways to spread the disease.
But there’s no need for parents to panic thanks to e-learning resources that allow the kids to continue learning and keep busy regardless of the pandemic.
Neos Kosmos has compiled some of our favourite websites and learning platforms to help students get the language practice they need even with school closures. Here are some websites for parents to use with their kids, compiled with the help of Anastasia Koutsouroupas, teacher at Lalor North Primary School.

www.mikrapaidia.gr A fun, interactive and immersive way for little kids to learn reading, writing and arithmetic using the Greek language. It caters to different levels, but is predominantly for younger children.

Talking about coronavirus

Like all of us, children may be feeling stunned by the global situation. They may miss their friends and wonder why their parents are at home.
Ask your kids what they’re thinking and answer questions honestly. There are resources to guide parents when explaining coronavirus to their children, including Fact Sheets available on the website of the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne. Nickelodeon has launched a new website with free content and educational coronavirus resources, like videos of SpongeBob SquarePants teaching children how to wash their hands.
