Tourism professionals have flocked to undertake online seminars supported by the Ministry of Tourism, through the Greece from Home platform and the Grow Greek Tourism online programme, says the ministry according to the Athens News Agency.

Over 1,000 participants signed up to partake in online group seminars and are given the opportunity to have a free one-on-one personalised training session with one of Grow Greek Tourism Online’s specialised partners, to help reach the goals of their business.

The Greece from Home initiative created by the Ministry of Tourism in conjunction with Greek National Tourism Organisation and Marketing Greece aims to keep Greece’s tourism brand alive and open.

The Greek Ministry of Tourism signed an agreement with Google in March 2020 to implement the program, which already has 135 individual training sessions planned geared towards workers and employees in the Greek tourism industry.

Session are free for anyone who is interested and include seminars such as how to start an online business, create a website, tools for managing your business remotely and the principles of marketing.

Certificates signed by the ministry will be sent after the completion of the seminars.
