The president of the Essendon RSL (Returned and Services League), Ange Kenos, held his own Dawn Service on his drive way on Saturday, 25 April.

His personal tribute came complete with the Australian flag on a pole, a navy white ensign on a table decorated with flowers and other insignia. Mr Kenos also set up a PA system in his driveway that broadcast the Last Post, Revellie and the national anthems of New Zealand and Australia to the neighbourhood.

Keeping very much within the spirit of the national day, Mr Kenos also offered Anzac biscuits to neighbours.

Later, with permission from the police, he delivered a floral tribute to the Cenotaph at Moonee Ponds.
