Archbishop Makarios joined Archimandrite Prochorus Anastasiadis, the Ladies Philoptochos of Saint Raphael, Nicholas and Irene Greek Orthodox Church and volunteers at Hart Park in Sydney’s suburb of Liverpool to support the “Homeless Feed” program that has been running for over a month, serving without discrimination based on origin, religion, colour or creed.

The program which runs every Tuesday, serving about 40 people began with the blessing of Archbishop Makarios, who went on to praise Father Prochoros for the great organisation of the program, noting that it can be a model for the respective initiatives that take place in the other parishes of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia.
