Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas revealed Nick Kyrgios’ telephone number to the world two weeks ago. He posted a photo of himself holding up the Greek Australian tennis star’s telephone number as a prank for Kyrgios’ 25th birthday.

Kyrgios called Tsitsipas an ‘absolute idiot’ and begged the Greek young gun to take down the post after being inundated with texts and calls from fans around the world. But during a live Instagram post on Wednesday, Tsitsipas revealed that Kyrgios endorsed the ploy and was in on it. During the live Instagram, Kyrgios said that his phone is still “in recovery” and Tsitsipas said that he had no idea that the prank would take on the dimensions that it had.

“I think it’s time to let everyone know you approved, it’s not like I did it without your approval,” Tsitsipas said.

There were hints that Kyrgios is now planning to pull the same stunt on Tsitsipas after asking the Greek star if he could share his number.

Kyrgios said that the Instagram post resulted in him receiving constant messages.

During the live chat the two stars joked with each other and it was evident that they share a very close relationship. Tsitsipas asked Kyrgios what he was doing in a car park late at night. “I’m just waiting for someone,” Kyrgios said.

On Thursday, 21-year-old Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya confirmed that she broke up with Kyrgios in an Instagram post. She wrote: “You’re not a bad boy, you are simply a bad person”.
