For nearly ten years now, the Ithacan Philanthropic Society “The Ulysses” has taken part in the Good Friday Appeal raising much needed funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital. This year, the society raised their biggest amount with $11,000 and promises next year to top this milestone.

“We’ve had a couple of children of membes who have had proceduers at the Royal Children’s Hospital over time,” says Peter Paxinos, secretary, Ithacan Philanthropic Society “The Ulysses” on why the society takes part in this fundraiser.

Organised by executive committee member Kristalenia Collins, she ensures there is a function every year on Good Friday with raffles and donations to raise funds for the appeal, and at the society’s annual picnic in February, donations are taken from the members.
