With the Super League play-offs entering their third round already, the picture at the top is starting to look quite clear.

Olympiacos have established themselves as the favourites to win yet another championship trophy and only lack eight more points in order to secure the title.

Pedro Martins’ men have a very difficult schedule ahead of them, with games against Panathinaikos and AEK for the league and a mid-week game against PAOK for the Greek Cup.

The results of those matches will greatly decide if the team from Piraeus will prove successful in their bid to walk away with the domestic “double” this season.

Meanwhile, with a letter directed towards the sport minister Lefteris Avgenakis, the Olympiacos Board of Directors asked to have a small number of their fans permitted inside the “Karaiskakis” stadium for the remaining games of the season.

At PAOK, everything is revolving around Josip Misic’s surgery, with the Croatian being forced to stay out of training for at least the next six months.

The champions will be desperate for the three points as they take on OFI at home, in what is expected to be the easiest game from their schedule in the play-offs.

The results from round two saw PAOK drop to third place for the first time in over a year and any further slip-ups will prove quite costly.

AEK, who are now in second place, will host Aris, with Michael Oenning’s team putting on a very positive display against Olympiacos despite the 3-1 loss last weekend.

Regarding the play-outs, Panetolikos put on an impressive performance last Monday beating Larissa at home 3-0 with Anthony Mounnier scoring a brace and serving up the third, while at Tripoli Asteras and Panionios were left goalless.
