Collingwood defeated Geelong by 22 points in Collingwood at Optus Stadium in front of the largest crowd allowed to attend a match due to COVID-19 restrictions.

There were just 22,000 spectators present though the venue has a 30,000 capacity.

Cats captain Joe Selwood had to leave the field due to a hamstring injury in the opening quarter. Collingwood forward Jordan De Goey, who missed last week’s Hawthorn win after being charged for indecent assault over an alleged incident which took place in 2015, booted five goals for the Magpies.
