Sydney FC’s Terry Antonis and Anthony Bouzanis, Melbourne Victory’s Jesse Makarounas, Western Sydney Wanderers Yannis Perkatis have all been chosen in the Young Soccerooos squad.

Head Coach Paul Okon selected the four to play in the 24-man team, preferring to select only Australian based players.
Coach Okon says there is some new blood in the team to supplement the old dynamic.

“There are some new faces in this squad that we will have the opportunity to experience the national team set-up for the first time as well,” he said.

Training will commence on the Central Coast from 21 to 25 April 2013, right after Perkatis plays in the A-League final.

Okon will be keen to see how the players will fare in the training camp and will be starting to form his front line.

“This is our first camp together since the AFC U-19 Championships last November and our first since the draw for the World Cup was made last month,” said Okon.

“The competition for places in the final World Cup squad we be high and we need the players to show themselves in these camps”.
