Premier Andrews said that the results are not so alarming as authorities understood that it would take two weeks for results of the stage three restrictions to show in the numbers. Tomorrow is the two-week mark since their imposition. From 11.59pm Wednesday, the wearing of masks will be mandatory in public spaces.

There have been a total of 6,289 cases in the state since 1 January.
