With Melbourne becoming the COVID-19 epicentre of Australia, the city is cut off from the rest of the state and country as the second wave spreads across the city.

Masks became mandatory last Thursday and the defence force has been called in to keep order and ensures that the killer virus is kept in check.

Here’s what the city looks like as the battle against COVID-19 continues.
