In honour of one of the greatest political heroes of modern Greece, Grigoris Lambrakis (1912-1963), the Greek Festival of Sydney will host a special presentation and movie event.
Mr Labrakis dedicated his life to peace, reconciliation and democracy and after his state-sponsored assassination, inspired two generations of Greeks who fought for freedom and independence.
A presentation will be given by Professor Vrasidas Karalis in Greek and it will be followed by the screening of Costa Gavras’ 1969 film ‘Z’.
The free event is at 5.00 pm, Sunday 28 April, at the Greek Community Club, 206-210 Lakemba St, Lakemba, NSW.
