Athens is playing host to a Hip Hop Festival for the second year running on September 5.
A large group of hip hop gurus disrupted the Gazi centre of Athens last year at the first instalment of the festival, and this year promises to be an even more dynamic event.
Break-dance acrobatics will be on display amid the hip hop madness as the best teams on offer nation-wide transform the Technopolis stage into a magic mirror of creative moods and dance overruns.
But the floor-hitting will not end there. The ultimate break-dancing competition Battle of Athens 09 will involve the top eight dance groups in Greece competing in front three break-dancing elite judges.
As for the live performance part of the event, an eclectic line up will collaborate to keep the crowds moving for hours on end.
The line up feature some of Greece’s leading underground hip hop acts performing on an outddor stage, including Artemis-Efthimis, Voreia Asteria, Midenistes, Taki Tsan, Isvoleas and Nea Praxi Pragmaton.
Beatboxers a plenty will also appear at the festival, including Word of Mouth, DJ The Boy and Sugah Spank!
