Porto started of strong and kept the energy going for the whole match against Olympiacos, beating the Greek front 2-0 in their Champions League Group C clash on Tuesday at the Estadio do Dragao.

The home team set off full steam ahead, scoring 11 minutes into the first half.

A fumbled pass by Olympiacos captain Andreas Bouchalakis, gave Porto the opportunity to swarm into the box before 20-year-old midfielder Fabio Vieira made his debut Champions League goal.

Olympiacos teammates Rafinha and Rúben Semedo made their way over to Bouchalakis after the goal to console the captain for his faux pas assisting the Portuguese lead.

Olympiacos despite fighting back could not realise their goals.

Midfielder Lazar Randjelovic had Porto goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin on his toes, but wasted a great moment after taking a weak shot at the keeper.

Olympiacos were unable to grasp a stronghold in Porto’s penalty area and fell short of clear and quick decision making.

The second half dealt the final nail in the coffin of Olympiacos’ demise.

Five minutes before the final whistle Porto forward Moussa Marega swung a swift cross into the penalty area for an accurate header made into the far corner of the goals by midfielder Sérgio Oliveira.

Porto are now celebrating their 100th victory in the European Cup and Champions League and moved the team into second place in Group C, three points behind Manchester City.

On 4 November the Red and Whites will be heading to Manchester for the next game, before returning home later that month to play Manchester City again.
