From inception up until the setting up process, how did you start your business?
In search of a career change that could incorporate previous skills, I embarked on creating the perfect environment committed to offering quality salon treatments for men and women. Thorough research, sourcing advice from other professionals and a massive amount of planning allowed me to commence quite small. Drive and passion led to growth and in turn the opportunity to take calculated risks.
Has your Greek Australian background been an influence to your work?
I believe the Greek culture is warm, nurturing and inviting. Family values and a strong sense of belonging moulds ones personality and in turn can be delivered onto our clients. Our migrant ancestors taught us to believe in ourselves, never give up and take advantage of opportunities that present themselves to us.
What would you say stands out as the comparative advantage of your business over the competition?
Competition is wonderful for business. I believe that potential clientele has freedom of choice therefore challenging every business owner to offer patrons with alternatives. The current economic climate has provided a platform to allow patrons to make more informed decisions in choosing where they prefer to spend their money. As a result we can see an elevation in expectations of clients where quality and value for money take precedence.
What is your vision for the future of your business?
Wicked Bliss has been servicing the Prahran precinct since 2001 and going from strength to strength. The potential to expand on our own product range as well as invest in the opportunity to launch a second store appears to be the direction we would like to take.
