Greek authorities have confirmed 800 new coronavirus cases from Friday to Saturday, of which 11 were found through testing at national entry points, according to the date provided by the National Public Health Organization (EODY).

Currently the total number of Covid-19 cases in Greece sits at 144.293 with 5,598 having been traced back to international travel. Of the 43,583 already confirmed infection cases, 362 individuals are intubated in ICUs, ANA-MPA SA reports.

The median age of intubated patients is 68 years with 85.4 per cent suffering from an underlying condition while others are aged 70 or more.

From the beginning of the pandemic, 954 people have been discharged from intensive care.

Moreover, EODY recorded 32 new coronavirus-related deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 5,227.

The median age of all fatalities was 79 years with 95.5 per cent diagnosed with an underlying condition and/or aged 70 or above.
