There just over a week to nominate the person who has made an outstanding contribution to society for an NSW Premier Community medal or to be included on the Multicutural Honour Roll.

The 2021 medals honour significant achievements in community harmony, youth work, lifetime community service, arts and culture, regional areas (outside the greater metropolitan area of Sydney), sport, language services, human rights and business excellence across the corporate, not for profit and local government sectors.

There are 12 medal categories that include: Lifetime Community Service Medal; Youth Medal; Arts and Culture Medal; NSW Human Rights Medal; Regional Unity Medal; Stepan Kerkyasharian AO Community Medal; Sports Medal; Language Services Medal; Business Excellence – Corporate Medal; Business Excellence – Not for Profit Medal; and the Business Excellence – Local Government Medal.

The Multicultural Honour Roll is a permanent public record of the exemplary contribution by people of our multicultural society who have passed away in the last year. This posthumous recognition marks the legacy of those people who have made a lasting contribution to the community in New South Wales that extends beyond their passing.

Nominations must be submitted by Friday, 22 January.
