Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews had a ‘concerning’ fall on Tuesday morning while getting ready for work at home.

The premier’s office said that the state leader had no head injuries, however the fall was ‘concerning’ and had to undergo X-rays as a precaution.

9News confirmed that he was not transported to hospital by ambulance, however his office said that he would not be returning to work for the rest of the day.

Mr Andrews was due to make an announcement in Healesville, 52km north-east of Melbourne at 9.20am this morning, however Deputy Premier James Merlino stepped in at the scheduled media conference.

While the premier recuperates, Victoria went for another day with no new local COVID-19 cases and one in hotel quarantine.

There are now six active cases remaining across the state.
