Greece’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a press statement on Wednesday that the 62nd round of exploratory talks between Greece and Turkey are set to take place in Athens next week on Tuesday, 16 March.

While no further details were forthcoming from the ministry, Ekathemerini announced that Turkish media had reported that the discussions would be held on 16 and 17 March and that there would be political consultation between Greek and Turkish deputy foreign ministers to be held in addition to the talks.

Quoting diplomatic sources, the Athens Macedonia News Agency (AMNA) said that the Greek Foreign Ministry’s Secretary General, Ambassador Themistoklis Demiris would also meet Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Sedat Onal the following day as part of political consultations between the two countries.
