Sofia Kokkinos recently celebrated her 100th birthday with her family, relatives and many friends.

Born in Emborios Nysiros, she migrated to Australia on 13 June, 1957, to seek a better life for her family.

She received messages of congratulation from Queen Elizabeth, Governor-General David Hurley and Australia’s Prime Minister, Scott Morrison.

These were proudly displayed at the head of the table at a function held in her honour at the Pankoaki Brotherhood Hall in Northcote, Melbourne, on Sunday, 14 March.
