Ten fact sheets that contain information for seniors translated in Greek were launched by the Greek Orthodox Community of SA (GOCSA) two Fridays ago, together with the Seniors Information Service (SIS).

The topics covered in the fact sheets include: Home support options, residential aged care facilities, respite care, hiring private care services, legal advice, care and support after a hospital stay, power of attorney, wills, estates and probates and to move or not to move.

The fact sheets were officially launched by Federal MP Steve Georganas, who thanked the GOCSA and its staff in organizing the launch and praised GOCSA for its initiative in working together with a mainstream organisation to meet the information needs of the Greek community.

Mr Georganas reiterated the importance of distributing the resources widely to ensure equal access to information by the Greek community and promoting a greater capacity to make informed decisions about aged care services.

A short visual presentation followed with Mr Theo Panagopoulos, GOCSA Media Liaison Officer, demonstrating to participants how to access the 10 Greek SIS Fact Sheets on the GOCSA website.
