Over 250 Iranian immigrants living in Athens demonstrated outside the Greek parliament in Syntagma last week to add their voices to protests taking place around the world over election results and recent violence in Iran.

The demonstrators held up photocopies of photographs of people recently killed or wounded in street protests in the country, and pictures mocking Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Protesters waved Iranian flags and flowers as another demonstrator held a sign in the air reading, “Peace to Iran”.
