Police gathered outside of the police headquarters in Athens to protest against the violent targetting of police.
Their protest was prompted by the murder two weeks ago of the counter terrorism officer Antonios Savvas in central Athens.
The protesting police chanted “No to violence against the police” and “Violence against the police is violence against the Greek society.”
The Union of Police Personel in Attiki which organised the protest stated that “the merciless murder of Antonios Savvas is a blow against order and democracy.”
