Global leader in digital cinema Cinedigm will release the Matthew Modine feature OPA! in about 300 theatres America-wide on October 16.

In accordance with the release, Cinedigm will offer a simulcast screening of the film online, coupled with a live question-and-answer session with the cast.

The simulcast will involve 50 cities across the country, using CineLiveTM technology.

Audiences will be able to take a sneak preview of the film and will be given the chance to participate in an in-theatre question time session with the director (Udayan Prasad) and actor Agni Scott.

Modine and his co-stars will take questions via text message from viewers, in an event designed to celebrate the film and raise awareness for a breast cancer charity movement. A ‘text to donate’ function will also be available for people to make monetary contributions to the cause.

OPA! is set on the magical Greek island of Patmos where citizens have lived, danced and laughed for thousands of years.

With the arrival of the straight-laced, high-tech archaeologist Eric (Modine), the island is changed forever.

Eric is swept into a world of picture-perfect scenery and romance until his satellite-guided equipment reveals that his most important discovery may be buried under the taverna owned by the object of his affection; the beautiful and uncompromising Katerina (Scott).
