Two Greek Australian defendants have pleaded guilty to charges of affray and intentionally causing injury to a man in a Hungry Jack’s restaurant.
The brawl had erupted in the fast-food restaurant in Prahran in mid July last year.
The fight started after a man started throwing fries and paper to a female friend of Nathan Karazisis, 24, Konstantinos Kontoklotsis, 33 and Mark Bogstra, 22.
Once the female friends left the restaurant and Mark Bogstra re-entered the venue the three men, who worked as crowd controllers, attacked Luke Adams 19 and his friend James Mitchell.
Mr Adams was rendered unconscious and fell on the floor seriously hitting his head after being put in a so-called sleeper hold by Nathan Karazisis.
Mr Karazisis pleaded guilty to an additional charge of recklessly causing serious injury. The hearing was continuing on Thursday before announcing a sentencing date.
